Install a compatible camshaft phaser limiter with the Michigan Motorsports Gen V LT phaser limiter installation tool. Gen 5 LT-based engines use a computer-controlled Variable Valve Timing system that advances or retards camshaft timing according to engine operating conditions. When installing a larger performance camshaft, a separately purchased limiter can restrict the phaser’s timing range to provide the necessary piston-to-valve clearance for additional duration and tighter lobe separation. This application-specific installation tool works with the listed 2014-and-newer LT-based engines, excluding the LT4.
