Gen IV LS 5.3L DOD/AFM Delete Kit
Fits 2007–2013 5.3L Trucks, 2007–2014 Full-Size SUVs & 2005–2009 Mid-Size SUVs
Convert a compatible Gen IV 5.3L LS engine to a conventional non-DOD/AFM valvetrain with this complete DOD/AFM Delete Kit. The package combines a full set of Delphi LS7 lifters, GM lifter trays, your choice of valley cover, MLS head and exhaust gaskets and the required head bolts. Optional camshaft and head-bolt upgrades allow the kit to support stock-style repairs or more performance-focused engine builds.

- Complete DOD/AFM Conversion Package: This kit brings together the essential lifters, lifter trays, valley cover, head gaskets, head bolts and exhaust gaskets required when converting a compatible Gen IV 5.3L engine to a conventional non-DOD/AFM valvetrain configuration.
- Full Set of Delphi LS7 Lifters: Sixteen Delphi LS7 lifters replace the original DOD/AFM lifters and restore conventional operation across all eight cylinders. Four GM 12595365 lifter guide trays are also included to correctly retain and align the replacement lifters.
- Choice of Non-AFM Valley Cover: Select either the reproduction L92-style valley cover or an OEM GM valley cover to match the preferred component package and budget. Each available valley-cover option includes its corresponding gasket and mounting bolts.
- Required Sealing Components Included: The kit includes 5.3L/5.7L multi-layer steel head gaskets and two LS multi-layer steel exhaust manifold/header gaskets. A standard 2004-and-newer LS head-bolt kit is supplied, with an optional ARP upgrade available.
- Stock-Style and Performance Camshaft Options: Michigan Motorsports camshaft MM-12689035 provides a stock-sized non-DOD option for compatible 5.3L engines with or without VVT. Additional Michigan Motorsports, Brian Tooley Racing and Texas Speed camshafts are available for customers building a more performance-oriented combination.

Notes
- Select the reproduction L92 or OEM GM valley cover and choose standard or optional ARP head bolts when ordering.
- The original DOD/AFM camshaft should be replaced with a compatible non-DOD camshaft to avoid potential misfires.
- The DOD/AFM system must be disabled in the vehicle’s PCM after installation.

Great Product, Well Packaged, Quality Materials
I was very pleased with the kit. Everything was as described and quality parts. I presoaked the lifters before installing them and they had zero issues. Head gaskets and manifold gaskets were great quality. And the valley cover plate worked perfect. If I have another DOD failure that I have to repair in the future, I will for sure be ordering this kit. Expedited shipping as well. It came quick. Thanks again Michigan Motorsports!
