52100 Heat-Treated Bearing Steel Inner Races with Priority Trunnion Oiling
Upgrade compatible factory LS rocker arms with the Brian Tooley Racing V2 rocker trunnion kit. Building on the proven BTR V1 design, the V2 kit features trunnions with pre-installed, pressed inner bearing races manufactured from 52100 heat-treated bearing steel instead of the more commonly used 8620 carburized steel found in the V1 kit and many original-equipment applications. A self-oiling axle provides priority oil delivery directly to the trunnion. The kit fits the listed 4.8L, 5.3L, 5.7L, 6.0L and 6.2L LS-based engine applications.

- Updated BTR V2 Design: The second-generation trunnion kit builds on the established V1 configuration with a new pressed inner bearing race and upgraded oiling design. It is intended for retrofitting compatible factory LS rocker arms.
- 52100 Heat-Treated Bearing Steel: The pressed inner races are manufactured from 52100 heat-treated bearing steel. This replaces the 8620 carburized-steel material used in the BTR V1 kit and commonly found in many original-equipment applications.
- Pre-Installed Inner Races: Each V2 trunnion features its inner bearing race already installed. The pressed-race configuration is a defining upgrade of the V2 kit and removes the need to install the inner races separately.
- Self-Oiling Axle: The upgraded axle incorporates a self-oiling design with priority oil delivery directed to the trunnion itself. This provides a dedicated lubrication path for the trunnion assembly during engine operation.
- Broad LS Engine Compatibility: Fits the supplied 4.8L, 5.3L, 5.7L, 6.0L and 6.2L LS-based engine codes. Coverage includes compatible car, truck and performance LS rocker-arm applications.
Notes
- The trunnion shaft will contact the passenger-side valve-cover baffle on early-style LS1 and LS6 valve covers. These applications require clearancing the baffle or changing to later-style valve covers.
- Original-equipment rocker-arm bolts may be reused, or choose Michigan Motorsports Allen-head bolts, Brian Tooley Racing 12-point-head bolts or an ARP 234-7207 rocker-arm stud kit.

Legit BTR components
I’ve heard people say on forums and Facebook pages that they were unsure if this kit is a legitimate set of BTR parts being that it is shipped from Michigan Motorsports. Well, it indeed is legitimate. Came with everything needed, and actually came with a few extra snap rings and bearings, which was very handy considering that in was inevitable one of the snap rings went flying while trying to install. Everything was a nice good fit, good quality, and works great with my LS1 setup.
