The Moroso 85481 Air-Oil Separator Kit is designed for Chevrolet Silverado, GMC Sierra, and Hummer applications equipped with the LS-based engines. Plumbed into the vehicle’s PCV system, the separator helps capture excess crankcase vapors, oil mist, and moisture before they can re-enter the intake tract.
Keeping these contaminants out of the intake helps reduce oil deposits within the intake tract and on intake valves while providing cleaner intake air. This can be particularly beneficial on supercharged applications, where oil contamination can also reduce intercooler efficiency.
The 85481 features Moroso’s large-body separator, providing 43% more capacity than its small-body version. The billet aluminum body incorporates internal baffling and mesh media to effectively separate oil and moisture from crankcase vapors.
A convenient bottom drain with an elbow allows collected oil to be drained with minimal mess.
