Rebuild a compatible Chevrolet 4.8L or 5.3L LS engine with this complete Hastings 2M4978 stock-replacement piston ring set. Manufactured for standard-size pistons and a 3.779-inch, or 96mm, cylinder bore, this moly replacement ring package provides the top, second and oil-control rings required for one complete engine.
The 1.5mm top ring is manufactured from steel, the 1.5mm second ring uses grey-iron construction and the 3.0mm oil-control assembly combines steel rails with a stainless-steel expander. This application-specific Hastings ring set fits the supplied 1999–2015 Chevrolet 4.8L and 1999–2013 Chevrolet 5.3L applications, including LM7, L59, LS4, LY5, LMG, LMF, LH6, LC9 and L33 engines.
