The Michigan Motorsports Gen V L84 5.3L DFM Delete Kit is a complete, professionally curated solution for converting 2019 and newer GM L84 engines from Dynamic Fuel Management (DFM) to a non-DFM configuration. This kit is designed specifically for L84 engines identified by the 8th digit of the VIN = D. It is also compatible with L82 engines identified by the 8th digit of the VIN = F, where only four of the eight included solenoid port plugs are required. This conversion eliminates the complex DFM lifter system—one of the most common long-term failure points in Gen V engines—and replaces it with proven non-DFM valvetrain components for improved durability and reliability. - Optional OEM-Style Camshaft Available: Optional GM 12672469 “L8T” camshaft is recommended for customers wanting stock drivability and reliability while completing the DFM conversion.

Important Notes: A non-DFM camshaft must be installed and the DFM system must be disabled in the vehicle’s ECU for proper operation. This kit will NOT work with L83 or L8B engines. No manufacturer warranty is provided on lifters.
