Fits 2014–2020 5.3L L83 L8B (8th Digit of VIN = C or R Only)
The Michigan Motorsports Gen V L83 5.3L AFM/DOD Delete Kit provides the core components required to convert your 2014–2020 L83 or L8B engine from Active Fuel Management (AFM/DOD) to a traditional non-DOD valvetrain setup. This kit is designed specifically for engines where the 8th digit of the VIN is C or R. It will NOT fit L84, L82, or engines not listed.
Ideal for camshaft upgrades or long-term reliability builds, this kit includes premium sealing components, head bolts, lifter trays, and your choice of Delphi LS7-style lifters (8 or 16). A non-DOD camshaft and proper ECM programming are required to complete the conversion.

Important Notes
A non-DOD camshaft must be installed, and the DOD/AFM system must be disabled in the vehicle’s computer for proper operation. The included oil block-off plugs are for use only with the original DOD/AFM valley cover and will not fit non-DOD or aftermarket DOD delete valley covers.

This is a great product pkg at very reasonable price

Great kit
I put this kit in my 2015 silverado. Great kit. It has been working great for me. All parts were correct and shipping Great. Only reason for the 4 star is if the kit would come with the camshaft it would take the guess work out of what cam to order. But the technical department help with that and got me all the correct parts right away

DOD Delete
Plan on removing the engine, a new cam is required and the oil pan must be removed to do so.
