Keep your compatible GM gasoline V8 operating in V8 mode with the BOOST AFM/DOD/DFM Disabler Module. This plug-and-play device connects directly to the vehicle’s OBD-II port and disables cylinder-deactivation operation without physically replacing the camshaft or lifters or reprogramming the factory ECU. Simply unplug the module to return the vehicle to its original fuel-management operation.

- Plug-and-Play OBD-II Installation: The BOOST module plugs directly into the vehicle’s OBD-II diagnostic port and begins operating within seconds. It does not require factory ECU reprogramming, custom tuning or permanent vehicle modifications, and unplugging the device restores the original fuel-management operation.
- Continuous V8-Mode Operation: Disables compatible AFM, DOD and DFM cylinder-deactivation operation so the engine remains in V8 mode while driving. Keeping the system inactive may also help reduce exposure to the collapsed or sticking lifter concerns associated with repeated fuel-management activation.
- Smoother and More Consistent Response: Preventing transitions between reduced-cylinder and full V8 operation can reduce hesitation during acceleration, improve throttle response and provide a smoother driving experience. The engine remains in full-cylinder operation without waiting for the factory system to reactivate all eight cylinders.
- Ultra-Low Standby Current Draw: BOOST engineered an efficient low-power mode that draws only 0.71 mA while the vehicle is turned off. Based on the manufacturer’s calculation using a fully charged 60-amp battery, this represents approximately 84,500 hours—or 9.6 years—of theoretical battery capacity.
- Made in the USA: The BOOST AFM/DOD/DFM Disabler is engineered, manufactured and tested in the United States. According to BOOST, every component used for the device, including its packaging, is sourced from an American company.
Notes
- Fits compatible AFM/DOD/DFM-equipped GM gasoline V8 vehicles only. Does not fit vehicles with 10-speed automatic transmissions, C8 Corvettes or 2022-and-newer Refresh-model Silverado and Sierra trucks.
- Not designed for vehicles with physically removed AFM/DOD lifters. A physical AFM/DOD conversion requires proper ECM calibration using HP Tuners or an equivalent tuning solution.
- The BOOST module does not disable the vehicle’s automatic start/stop system.

Our device is designed to comply with applicable emissions standards and is sold with the understanding that it may operate within the legal emissions framework as outlined in the EPA’s Tampering Policy dated November 23, 2020. We have reasonable basis to believe that our device functions within EPA emissions standards and therefore is legally allowed to be sold and used on road vehicles.
Please note that we do not have an active CARB EO, making this product not legal for use in the State of California until our EO number has been issued. It is the end responsibility of the user to ensure that their vehicle remains compliant with all local and federal emissions regulations.
