Product Description
Michigan Motorsports Dished LS Flexplate – High Inertia Design
Fits All LS Engines Except LSA, LS9 & 1999–2000 6.0L | SFI 29.1 | 168 Tooth | Internal Balance
The Michigan Motorsports Dished LS Flexplate is engineered for the extreme demands of modern high-horsepower LS builds. Our Black Label series flexplates feature a thick 4mm centerplate, forged steel ring gear, and a premium black finish with laser-engraved labeling. Built to endure hard launches and high RPM abuse, this “High Inertia” flexplate uses a solid cold-rolled steel plate that increases rotational stability for improved 60-foot times. Precision robotic welding and cold-weld processes ensure unmatched durability and full SFI 29.1 certification for racing use.
Key Features
- SFI 29.1 Certified: Fully approved for drag racing and competition use, meeting strict safety and performance requirements for high-RPM applications.
- High Inertia Performance: Solid cold-rolled steel construction provides added rotational mass for harder launches, smoother engagement, and improved 60-foot consistency.
- Heavy-Duty Construction: Features a 4mm thick centerplate, a forged one-piece steel ring gear, and precision robotic welds for extreme durability under power.
- Direct Bolt-On Design: Internal balance, 168-tooth, 6-bolt configuration fits most LS-based builds requiring a dished flexplate without modification.
- Enhanced Durability: .035" thicker than factory flexplates with a double-welded ring gear to withstand extreme heat cycles and high torque loads.
Key Fitments
- Engines: LS1, LS2, LS3, LS6, LQ4, LQ9, LM7, L33, L59, LMG, LY6, L96, LC9, LH6, LR4, and all LS-based engines except LSA, LS9, and 1999–2000 long-crank 6.0L applications.
- Platforms: Compatible with TH350, TH400, 700R4, 4L60E, 6L80E, and 4L80E transmissions when paired with a torque converter designed for a dished flexplate.
- Notes: For older non-LS torque converters, use Michigan Motorsports SKU #26400 or MMCRNKADPT to correctly space the converter snout.
