Product Description
Johnson 2126LSR Slow Leakdown Link-Bar Lifters with Axle Oiling
Set of 16 Hydraulic Roller Lifters for LS Engines | Tie-Bar Design | 500+ lb Open Spring Pressure Capability
Johnson 2126LSR slow leakdown link-bar lifters are race-style hydraulic roller lifters designed for high-RPM LS engine combinations using elevated valve spring pressures. Featuring axle oiling, a tie-bar design, and slow leakdown characteristics, these lifters are built for compatible non-DOD/AFM LS engines where stable valvetrain control is critical. This complete set of sixteen lifters accommodates 500+ lb open spring pressure applications and is an excellent choice for serious naturally aspirated, turbocharged, supercharged, and racing LS engine builds.
Key Features & Benefits
- Slow Leakdown Race-Style Hydraulic Roller Lifters: Johnson 2126LSR lifters feature a slow leakdown design intended for demanding LS valvetrain combinations where controlled lifter operation is required at higher engine speeds.
- Axle Oiling for Enhanced Roller Support: Axle oiling provides lubrication directly to the roller axle area for demanding hydraulic roller lifter applications.
- Built for Higher Open Spring Pressures: Designed to accommodate valve spring combinations with 500+ lb open pressure, making these lifters well suited for aggressive camshaft and higher-RPM LS builds.
- Link-Bar Lifter Design: The integrated tie-bar design controls lifter orientation without factory plastic lifter trays. Remove the original plastic trays when installing these lifters.
- Complete Set for One V8 Engine: Includes sixteen Johnson hydraulic roller lifters for complete LS valvetrain service during a camshaft installation, engine rebuild, cylinder head upgrade, or performance build.

Notes
- Non-DOD/AFM Engines Only: These lifters are designed for LS engines not running DOD/AFM. Verify your engine configuration and valvetrain requirements before purchase.
- Remove Factory Lifter Trays: The link-bar design replaces the need for factory plastic lifter trays. Original plastic lifter trays must be removed for installation.
- Preload Verification Required: Set lifter preload to the recommended .035" +/- .010" specification and verify pushrod length, rocker arm geometry, valve spring pressures, and overall valvetrain setup during assembly.
- Engine Builder Installation Recommended: These are performance-oriented lifters intended for properly matched camshaft, valve spring, pushrod, rocker arm, and cylinder head combinations.
Recommended Lifter Installation
- Inspect each lifter body and roller wheel for any signs of shipping damage or visible defects before installation.
- Verify that each roller rotates freely without binding.
- Wipe the lifter body with a clean, lint-free rag before installation.
- Apply engine oil to the outside of each lifter body. Do not soak the lifters before installation.
- Clean the top end of the engine thoroughly to prevent foreign debris from entering the lifters during startup.
- Inspect rocker arms, pushrod ends, and valve tips for excessive wear. Replace components as needed before final assembly.
- Install the lifters and set preload to the recommended specification.
- Change the engine oil and filter after the first 50 miles to remove debris that may have been missed during assembly.
