Texas Speed TSP 4.8L/5.3L Turbo Stage 4 Camshaft & Cam Kit Options
222/230 Duration | .600"/.600" Lift | 113 LSA | 3-Bolt Pattern
Build a hard-running turbocharged 4.8L or 5.3L LS combination with the Texas Speed Stage 4 Turbo Camshaft. Designed specifically for smaller-displacement engines using single- or twin-turbo systems, this aggressive camshaft supports strong power beyond 7,000 RPM while delivering a pronounced lope at idle in 5.3L and smaller engines.
Key Features & Benefits
- Turbo Stage 4 Camshaft Specs: This Texas Speed camshaft features 222/230 duration, .600" intake and exhaust lift, a 113-degree lobe separation angle and a three-bolt mounting pattern. Its aggressive profile is designed around the airflow and operating characteristics of turbocharged 4.8L and 5.3L LS engines.
- Designed for Smaller-Displacement Turbo Engines: The cam profile is developed specifically for 4.8L and 5.3L LS-based engines equipped with single- or twin-turbo systems. It helps these smaller-cubic-inch combinations maintain strong power beyond 7,000 RPM when matched with the appropriate supporting components and calibration.
- Aggressive Turbo Performance Profile: The Stage 4 design produces a strong lope at idle in 5.3L and smaller engines while supporting a high-RPM turbo powerband. A 3,500+ RPM torque converter is required for best performance and to help the turbocharger or turbochargers spool quickly.
- Available Spring and Pushrod Package: The upgraded kit combines the TSP Stage 4 Turbo Camshaft with dual .660" polished PAC valve springs, titanium retainers, valve seals with integrated spring seats and 7.400"-long, 5/16"-diameter chromoly pushrods.
- Multiple Kit Configurations: Choose the Texas Speed camshaft by itself or select the available spring, retainer, seal and pushrod package. The gasket kit option includes a timing cover gasket, water pump gaskets, crankshaft damper seal and crankshaft damper bolt.
Notes
- DOD/AFM-equipped engines require conversion to a non-DOD/AFM valvetrain configuration.
- VVT-equipped engines require conversion to a non-VVT configuration.
- Engines originally equipped with a one-bolt camshaft require a three-bolt camshaft conversion kit.
